Realdownloader won't work

For the last several months Realdownloader is a realpainintheass.  It stopped downloading from sites like YouTube.  I keep getting a message that the video was "Unable to download."  I click the little green, circled arrow to retry and it will sometimes start to download, then stops again.  Once in a rare blue moon will it work after several retries.  I have Windows 10 using Microsoft Edge.  (I did try explorer but the option to download wasn't even there.)  I believe the started sometime around November of last year.  Any ideas?  Or is this a limitation Real has to make you purchase an upgrade?  Also, is there any Real personnel help here or is it just customers helping customers?

  Have you tried to reinstall RealPlayer? If not, here are the instructions to reinstall RealPlayer.
