VERY UPSET! PERFORMED RECOMMENDED UPDATE NOW HALF LIBRARY WON'T PLAY

After performing recommended update to 18.1.11.204 half my video library appears with squiggly lines. Hundreds of videos! Also, some YouTube videos downloaded after the update can be played back while others have the same lines. Everything I've saved for years with Realplayer is ruined! What the hell happened? I want answers! See attached.
