Player tries to download MP3 URL stream rather than play it

This happens too frequently. Want to play an Internet MP3 stream but RealPlayer tries to download it rather than play as stream. Same issue in latest version as well as RP16.

For instance, http://ksqd.info:8000/stream

This 128kbps MP3 stream plays as desired in WMP, Chrome browser, Firefox, probably VLC and Winamp, etc. but not Real Player. Streams perfect in all players except RP. As I say, it's not just this stream. This is just this morning's instance.

There needs to be instruction about what to do in this case (e.g., add an extension or whatever).

  This is due to your Internet Explorer settings. Please reset your IE settings by following these steps.

  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. Go to Tools --> Internet Options

  3. Click on Advanced tab

  4. Click the Reset button and click OK

  5. Restart your PC and try to play the stream again

  Thanks for looking into this. Although it doesn't make sense, I followed your instructions exactly. It didn't make any difference in the problem unfortunately. This MP3 stream plays fine in other players but not Real. I've seen the issue before actually but just used the other players such as VLC or Winamp instead of Real. This time I'm curious.  Real has always been my universal player by default since the 90s so wonder why I have to keep switching.
