Unable to share video album

I have an album containing multiple videos. I click "share" to send it to email but it is never actually shared. In other words, the email never arrives. What am I doing wrong?l

  You can only share it to someone who else and not an email address that is already associated with your account. Are you sending it to an email address different from your own email address?

  Actually I was trying to send to my email in order to verify that it was working. I did not know of this restriction is that documented somewhere?
