When playing DVDs only audio no video

I recently bought an HP laptop with Windows 10.  I downloaded Real Player and everything looked fine until I tried to play a DVD.  

When I place the DVD in the drive it starts Real Player but I only hear the sound.  I watch mostly TV show DVDs so when I don't respond to the episode I want to watch around a minute later it powers down.

I purchased Real Player Plus for my previous HP laptop specifically to play DVDs and I did not have any problems but that had the Windows 8 operating system.  Not sure if that makes a difference.

I'm at my wits end with this and I'm hoping you can find a solution.
