Thumbnails
Hi The thumbnails in my video library are all blue with wording only music libary ok ?

This is mainly because of your Windows settings. Right click on one of the videos in RealPlayer and click Locate File. It will open the Windows folder where your file is stored. If this folder doesn't show thumbnails, it won't show in RealPlayer also. In such case, you will need to contact Microsoft.

My video folder shows thumbnails, but they don't show up in the video library in Real Player 24. I have tried everything Microsoft has to offer but no joy. This is the same on 2 Windows 11 computers. Both showed thumbnails in the Real Player media library when they were Windows 10. The thumbnails in the video folder appear as Media Player with a Real Player icon in the bottom right of each video. My MSI Windows 11 laptop has the same problem. I can only assume this is a Windows 11 issue with Real Player, as my previous MSI Windows 7 laptop had no problems. Is there an actual fix? I'd like to see what I'm clicking rather than go to the video folder. For the record, Media Player has no problems showing thumbnails for the videos in it's library when I add them to it. I'd prefer to use Real Player.
Edit: I fixed my issue. I deleted entire library from the Player and hard drive and then had RP find media from the hard drive library after reloading them(I keep copies of everything on an external drive). I did this on both computers. The thumbnails appeared in RP. It's obviously a Win11 issue since I never had an issue with Win10, Win7, WinXP, Win Vista, Win98. I have since added more videos and the thumbnails appear as is normal. It has nothing to do with the clock. My guess is it's a setting inside the registry because when I put the videos back into the computers, a popup asked if I wanted to allow them to transfer. I clicked yes, and everything worked correctly.0 -
I'm now encountering the same errors on both my laptop and PC, so it's not a Windows 11 issue. I suspect the downloads are failing because they haven’t been tested by RealNetworks. My system clock is auto-synced with Microsoft, which might be contributing to the issue. I've attached my screenshots for reference. Visit this site for more details: psa application form

Thumbnails are small preview images that give a quick visual summary of larger content, such as videos, images, or documents, helping users navigate and choose what to view more efficiently. Just as using a Coptic keyboard allows for accurate typing in the Coptic script, well-designed thumbnails ensure that content is immediately clear and visually appealing, improving accessibility and interaction.
