What is the file format of the video you are trying to burn? This error usually shows up if the codecs used in the video are not compatible with RealPlayer. You can convert those videos using RealConverter to MP4 format so the codecs will be compatible with RealPlayer.

I am receiving the same error message. This started yesterday. Prior to yesterday everything was working great. I have used RealPlayer to convert the files to both MP4 and WMP files. They play great but will not burn. I keep getting this same message: The software that's used to decode the media is not available on this system. Installing the correct decoders for the files you are working with may help to correct the problem.

Steve,
Installing the K-Lite codec pack often helps to fix issues related to playback/DVD Burn. You can install it from the link below:
http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm
After installing the codec, restart your computer and try burning the videos again.
