Downloading Videos From Facebook

    If a Facebook video is set to "Public", you can download those videos. If they are set to be "Private", you won't be able to download these videos. This is a setting users who upload the video has access to. If you can share the complete link of that particular Facebook video, we could give it a try. All of this said, there are no issues with downloading Facebook videos that are set to "Public".

    The problem is now mostly solved but here is an example of a video that won't download:

    Is it set to private or Public?.

    We will not know if a video is set a private or public. These controls are based on the uploader and the uploader has the ability to set the videos to private or public. In this case, it is a BBC video. You will need to contact BBC to find out.

    How can I change who can see my video?

    You can change who can see your posts at any time. To do this, look for the date/time stamp on your shared video directly on your Facebook timeline. Right next to that will be your sharing options.

    If it's public, you'll see a mini globe. If you have it shared with friends only, you'll see a silhouette of two people. Click the arrow next to the icon to change who can see that specific video.

    RealPlayer has just allowed me to download that video for some reason or another.
