The embedded audio and video codecs might not be compatible with RealPlayer. You can try the following workaround:

1- Install K-Lite from the link below: http://fileforum.betanews.com/download/KLite-Codec-Pack_Full/1094057842/3

Restart the PC and try to convert the file.

Solution 2: Upload the file to Cloud, then download it from Cloud to your PC. Try to convert the downloaded file. Let us know if the file can be uploaded.

Solution 3: Re-install RealPlayer as described here: https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/204040013-Uninstall-and-reinstall-RealPlayer-on-Windows

I very much appreciate your prompt response to my post.

Regarding the solutions you suggest, (1) my system's anti virus/spyware program quarantined the K-Lite download and I chose not to use it. (3) I did uninstall RealPlayer and associated Real programs before re-installing them. However this does not fix the problem. (2) I would be happy to pursue this option (paying for a subscription for this service) if I was convinced it would solve the problem. I don't want to pay ahead of time for a service that does not resolve the problem. If I could upload & download just one file and find success with the conversion, then I would pay for a subscription. We have a large number of these Real video files (created with Realproducer plus software way back when) that we want to convert to contemporary video formats.

1- This is a file related issue or codecs missing to accomplish the task. What I have provided is a workaround to try to overcome the problem you have. Therefore, I would recommend you tray to install K-Lite for test purpose. If the issue persists you can then remove it.

2- I applied a coupon for one month of Premium plan to your RealTimes account.

To activate the Plus features, you should sign into the RealPlayer software. If you are already signed in, please sign out and sign back in.

    To sign out of RealPlayer:

    1. Open RealPlayer.
    2. Click the RealPlayer logo at the top left corner.
    3. Select "Sign out" from the drop-down menu.

A second attempt to download K-Lite was blocked by our network firewall gateway, so this option is not available to me.

As to your your generous offer (2), thank you. Much appreciated. I'll proceed with uploading and downloading for conversion and will let you know if I have success.

Followed instructions for #2 but every attempt to upload video from PC library presents me with Ready to go premium...upgrade now message. My account, under Plan Summary shows 26GB storage.

Perhaps I misinterpreted your offer. When you said " I applied a coupon for one month of Premium plan", I took that to mean that you are giving us the use of 25GB of space for one month for testing purposes. Am I wrong? If not then please assist with how I can successfully proceed. Thank you.

The answer is yes. The coupon gives you access to additional Cloud space and access to Premium features. This coupon will be valid for a period of one month.

Now, make sure the Premium is activated by signing in as described in my previous instructions.

After signing in, you will see your name next to a star at the top right corner of RealPlayer. The star means that the Premium is active.  The next step is:

    - Righ-click one of your files and upload to Cloud then download it from Cloud to your computer.

    - Try to convert the downloaded file.
