Is there a way to download a video's CCs - or will there be at some point?
I bought the upgrade to the RealPlayer on the assumption that the closed captions at YouTube would be retained in the downloaded video. That's the primary reason I went to RealPlayer in the first place: I listen to Rock in a foreign language and want the translated lyrics to appear at the bottom as they do on YT.
Anyway, I just read in another thread that RealPlayer does not download the closed captions that are visible at YouTube and indeed they are not there in the vid saved in the "RealPlayer Downloads" sub-folder in Windows' "Videos" library. OTOH, when I click the vid and watch within the RealPlayer Downloader window, there the captions are.
So is there a way to get this video in the Downloader saved with the CCs intact, or is it impossible? Secondly, is there a chance this feature will be added to a future rev of RealPlayer?
In addition to liking the band(s) I'm also doing language study so having the translations as shown in the YouTube originals is a big deal for me, and again, the sole reason I wanted to download these in the first place and the reason for which I bought the $25 RP upgrade. RP will be useful regardless, but I would really like this potentially massive tool in language study. Thx.
