I keep getting "can't find a CD burner". This happened after an update to windows 10

  .....SO sorry to hear, Kim - can definitely relate to your frustration; I've got 7 Pro as an OS (hate 10 with a red-hot passion) and my burned CD-Rs are no longer being recognized as such after a Windows update last week - am getting the 'burn an audio CD' prompt upon inserting them from BOTH Media Player & now, Real Player - not sure why but, am waiting to hear back from MS tomorrow - scarily, had to escalate it.....WORSE though, tech couldn't even tell me how to fix the System Restore' feature (which also seems to have been affected.....)

  Please ensure your Windows 10 update didn't delete your CD drivers. You may need to contact Microsoft if that is the case.

  In the meanwhile, you could try this.
