real player lock up

I recently updated and now realplayer does not work.  The program open and I cannot do anything with it, when I click on anything on the page it just dings I cannot even close it.  I have downloaded new versions of the installation program many times but no change.  I can make it small and send it to the task bar, and open other programs, but realplayer is still lock, what can I do

  Please follow the steps from this link to do a clean reinstall.
