    Downloader only works intermittently. Restarting sometimes works but downloads fail around half the time. Was fine a few days ago.

    I also am having same issue with the downloader since the new updated version, and also am a Plus subscriber. I tried on both Google and on Microsoft Edge. Downloader on Google just comes up " unable to download"  , Microsoft Edge comes up " not enough drive space" .

    I also see that the download status shows 0 bytes of 0. The actual file size appears when download is complete. Sometimes file will download on a second attempt. Other times re-registering and restarting downloader usually works.

    Have tried with a clean download and install, but still no change. Have went through firewall and virus preferences. Have had an account with Real Player since  Real Player 4.01  and never had this difficult of a time getting program to work correctly. . . Both my Internet providers are current and up to date.  Be nice to have some help from Real. . .

    We see that you contacted customer support for your issue. They determined that your Windows 8 was too slow and you mentioned that you would upgrade to Windows 10. If you still having issues after upgrading to Windows 10, please let us know.

    Michael,

    Can you please let us know the following information:

    1. Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Real\RealPlayer.
    2. Right click on videodl and click Properties and then the Details tab.

    Please provide us with the version number you see there.

    Could you also provide us with a sample URL that you are unable to download and the web browser you are using? Lastly, what version of RealPlayer and Windows do you have installed?

    Jody,

    You have enough space to download videos. It is most likely that there is no Download path in your RealDownloader. Here are instructions that may fix this issue for you.

    I finally found out why the downloader was not working.... 1. Go into Settings. 2. Open   Windows Security 3. Open   Virus & Threat protection 4. Open   manage ransomware protection 5. Open   Allow an app through Controlled folder access.

    This will give you a list of folders that are being blocked. Remove all of the RealPlayer folders. This will reset the folder as to let the RealPlayer apps to go through.
