Why does RealPlayer 16 not play FLV video files?

My PC is Windows XP.  As real.com web page suggested, I downloaded RealPlayer 16 on my Windows XP PC.  I am able to add FLV video files and MP4 files into RealPlayer 16 library, but RealPlayer 16 can only play MP4 video files, it cannot play FLV video files.  Is there any one can tell me what to do to fix this problem?
