RealPlayer Ver 18.1.8

My harddrive crashed early 2015. Prior to that, when I hovered over a video clip busy playing, RealPlayer provided a pop-up to download the video which I found pretty handy.

After the crash, I installed the same version of RealPlayer from a backed up installation file I had on my old harddrive. But nowhere can I find where to provide the tick in the RealPlayer Preferences to enable the Download Video pop-up.

Please help.

I am running Windows 7 Prof 64-bit on a HP ProBook S. Not sure what other info will be helpful? Please ask if I can provide any more required info.

Regards

Leon

Hello,

Please note that the only supported version of RealPlayer is the latest one (i.e. RealPlayer 18). We do not guarantee reliability of previous versions.

Please uninstall the currently installed version of RealPlayer and install the latest one. Here's how:

1 - First, you need to uninstall the program by following the instructions from this article: https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/204040013
2 - After uninstalling RealPlayer from the Control Panel, please delete the application folders. Here's how: https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/220342848
3 - Reboot your computer and reinstall RealPlayer. You can install the current version by going to: http://www.real.com/

If the Download This Video option still does not appear, please follow the instructions from the article below and also click on the hyperlinks at the bottom of the article to see all the instructions (depending on the web browser used)https://customer.real.com/hc/en-us/articles/204040433
