Realplayer stopped working

 I have been using RealPlayer for several years, now in windows 10, it has been fine since W10 launch. Today I tried to open a video in RP when came up with the window,

"RealPlayer has stopped working"

a problem caused the program to stop working correctly etc

The previous day I did get a critical update from Microsoft. I though this may be the problem so I uninstalled the updates. This did not work, so I restored my computer to a previous restore point 4 days earlier when I knew it was working OK. Again this failed to sort the problem. I have uninstalled the software, re-installed a new copy and deleted all temporary files but nothing has worked

So far I am unable to open and video files. I am at a loss since it was working fine the day before yesterday

I have same problem,reinstalled latest version of realplayer,get the same error message.I have Win10 64bit and have used realplayer for years??????

I have the same problem - I tried different things uninstall/ reinstall realtimes/ real player, erased all temp files, etc).  Finally I restored from a backup from 3/12 which is 2 days before the Windows 10 March 14 update, and I did nothing except allowed the  automatic update from Microsfoft for Windows 10 dated 3/14.  Real player stopped working. HELP

We are aware of this issue and customers using RealPlayer on a Windows 10 PC may be affected by an incompatibility with the most recent Windows 10 update (KB4013429).  We are working to resolve this incompatibility; we will sen you an email as soon as a fix has been released. 

In the meantime, to play your videos, you will need to temporarily uninstall this update (KB4013429). For more information about uninstalling Windows updates, visit the Microsoft support site:
