How can I restore my YouTube playback on Google?

On 19/10/2017, I entered Youtube on my main browser, Google, to find that I could not play dvds/videos until I installed the RealPlayer. Reluctantly, I installed the RealPlayer. my dvds/videos played but the picture was greatly reduced in size and you could not read the comments that are often so interesting. I went on Internet Explorer and found the Youtube dvds played perfectly and there was no sign of the RealPlayer. I decided to remove the RealPlayer by by going into the Control Panel and by using the uninstall device. This removed the RealPlayer but left me unable to play dvds/videos on Google YouTube (Internet Explorer continues to play them perfectly) Please tell me how I can return to the situation that existed before 19/10/2017, on Google YouTube. I use Windows 7 Premium
