Unable to trim a particular video

Hi! I recently downloaded a video in mp4 format from my phone and added it to the RealPlayer Library. The video plays, but when I try to trim it, it doesn't load in the Trimmer and I get a transparent screen. 
Other videos in my library are loading in the trimmer. So I'm puzzled why I can't get this one to load, so I can trim it. 
Would appreciate your help.

  It is quite possible that the particular MP4 is having codecs that may not be compatible with RealPlayer. Here is a workaround you can try.

  Use RealConverter to convert the file to MP4 (even though it is a MP4 format currently). This step would ensure that the codecs used in the MP4 are compatible with RealPlayer. Trim the converted file and let us know if that helps.
