cant seem to download anything at all from any website since last year, real player is up to date, have over installed it chrome is up to date and still nothing ,absolute waste of time

  We have noticed that YouTube is blocking videos from being downloaded at this time. There are other video hosting websites where you can still download videos from which suggests that the Downloader is still working and not broken.

  We don't control websites hosting videos so there is very little we can do to force our Downloader to download videos. We will continue to investigate if there are other ways to download videos from these popular websites but at this time our only request is to be patient so these websites allow videos to be downloaded again.

  However, if you are unable to download videos from a different website, please copy and paste the website address (URL) of the video that you are unable to download.

  Can you please let us know the following information:

  1. Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Real\RealPlayer.
  2. Right click on videodl.exe and click Properties and then the Details tab.

  Please provide us with the version number you see there.

  Having the same problem all hours, day and night.  Can download some things on vimeo.  Nothing on Youtube or Youtube Music.

  Having the same issues. I did manage to get the Andre Bocelli Easter concert, but that's the last time I got one. I got that a couple days aftyer Easter btw

  My version is 2020.3.24

  It's frustrating. I pay for YouTube Premium and have a RealPlayer membership, as do many people in the forum. Easter seems to be the cut-off date for dowmloading. The videos will begin to download. Then at the point where it says, "Importing the File", it stops and says, "Unable to Download". The day before Easter I was able to download "Jesus Christ Superstar Live Concert" and The Who - "Tommy" Rock Opera. Yesterday, tried countless times, unsuccessfully yesterday to download "The Hayden Trumpet Concerto, with Wynton Marsalis". It's frustrating.

  Kristan & Jon,

  YouTube is throttling bandwidth and therefore you are not able to download videos from them. You will have to try after a while. We don't control on how they manage their bandwidth.

  We are not seeing this happen on other video hosting sites like Vimeo.com.

  C.S. Team,

  It took me awhile to understand the meaning of bandwidth throttling.  It would be helpful if the team could post information about the topic in Real.com support.
