Player will not work

I downloaded the free version.  It would not work because of a popup that wanted me to upgrade.  I did and paid the fee.  nothing change when I downloaded.  I think I still have the free version.  What should I do to correct this or how do I get my money back?

  You will need to sign into RealPlayer to activate your paid features. Here are instructions to sign in:

  When I signed into realplayer, it did not offer me an option to activate my paid features.

  Do you see a star (*) before your name on the top right corner like the screenshot below shows? If yes, you are on the Plus version. The star denotes that you are the Plus user. If no, please let me know.

  I do not see a star. There is still the pop up which asked me to buy the plus version.
