DVD Burning
For the past couple of weeks the DVD burner has been acting up. It usually announces it will take anywhere from four to six hours to burn a DVD that would normally take no more than 90 to 150 minutes. And after humming away for six hours it bogs down with one second left in the 'finishing' process before finally producing an error message. Of five or six attempts in that time one took the usual amount of time and worked perfectly. The other projects followed the pattern described above.
And it's not a problem with my computer's DVD drive because the same thing happens both with my computer's internal drive and an external drive I've plugged in and used successfully in the past when RealPlayer has been acting up.
This is nothing to do with my DVD-burning problem, but I've also noticed that the RealPlayer downloader is now taking much longer than usual to do its tasks.
Could this have something to do with a new Windows update that was installed at about the same time RealPlayer started cracking up?

To resolve your DVD burn issues, please reinstall RealPlayer by following these steps:
Our next update should download videos much faster. We are expecting for the next update to release by the month end. You will receive a message in your RealPlayer when the update is available.
