does real player 18 work any better than the realplayer I have now

  We always recommend using the latest version of RealPlayer - RealPlayer 18/RealTimes, as it is continuously being updated and it's compatible with the current operating systems. We do not guarantee reliability of the older products and some features may not work properly. Also, we do not offer any updates for old versions.

  I purchased Real SDK and Real Player 16. I am being told to download the newer version but prior to this I was told that the very things that prompted me to download these two Real Applications would disappear. Is this so  if it is do I need to download 18 and lose all the things in SD and 16 that I spent money on to have?

  Is there another Real download that will allow me to maintain what I have purchased since beginning to use Windows 95

  Please note that, older versions are not available in our system, and we are no longer supporting RealPlayer 16 and any version before that.

  As RealNetworks makes new products available to customers, it's not possible for us to continue supporting older products.

  We are now offering RealPlayer 18/RealTimes. This is the latest version of RealPlayer with many additional features. To access the Premium features of RealPlayer 18 will require a new purchase, because this is a new product.
