now missing album, artist information when converting mp3's

in the good old days when converting an MP3 (from 320 Kbps to 128 Kbps), all the artist/album etc. information transferred along with the new file.

i use these smaller files in my phone and/or player because they take up less space.

now it seems (at least since july 2017), the new converted files have lost all that information- artist is listed as 'various artist" and there is no album, genre etc. listed.

did i miss something in an upgrade? does anyone else have this issue?

  Same problem with RealPlayer 220.4.304 running on Windows 11 Pro 22H2.  Thank you for your help.
