No burn

I have downloaded FFDShow and still get error message that software is needed to decode media in order to burn videos.  WHY and How can I fix this?

  Installing the K-Lite codec pack often helps to fix issues related to burn/playback. You can install it from the link below:

  http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm

  After installing the codec, restart your computer and try burning the videos.
