unable to sign in, defaults to offline

Just upgraded and now unable to sign in. Have tried to install and uninstall numerous times. Does not appear to be firewall or anti virus.

  To resolve your issue, please "over-install" RealPlayer by going to www.real.com. Over-install simply means installing RealPlayer over the existing RealPlayer. When you go through the installation process, you will be prompted that RealPlayer is already installed, simply proceed with the installation when prompted.
