RealPlayer Trimmer won't save the starting point correctly

When I try to trim the beginning of an mp4 video the set point acts like it works but the saved version is no different than the untrimmed version.  I have tried MULTIPLE times with the same result.

  I just tested trimming a video and I was able to trim it as per how I chose the length. Can you please confirm that you are following the steps from this link to trim the video?

  Yes, I have trimmed the video this way. I’ve started over with the original and can’t seem to shave off 1 second from the beginning no matter where I try trimming.
