Realplayer wont start up after update

just updated realplayer for the first time in a while, previous version was the realplayer cloud version. since the update it wont let me run realplayer at all. i have windows 7 home premium. is it that my os is too old for it, or could it be another issue? when i try installing realplayer i now get a message that reads "The procedure entry point ucrtbase.terminate could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll." not sure if that helps any.

  The message tells me that you don't have all the updates from Windows. Please make sure you update Windows 7. Once you have done that, you can reinstall RealPlayer by following the instructions from the below link.
