Real player freezing my computer

When I use real player it freezes up my WHOLE COMPUTER. It was working ok then started freezing my computer. the October update cured that but I could not save any playlists. This latest update now allows me to save playlists but freezes MY WHOLE COMPUTER whenever I try to play anything.
