cd burning

When I first downloaded real player I immediately bought the one with the premium features. I burned about 5 cd's. The next day when I opened real player, it said that it could not detect the burner. I restarted my pc and real player, I was able to burn again. Now, today, I only get the, "cannot detect the burner" again. I've uninstalled and reinstalled real player and I still get the, cannot detect burner" notice. Whats happening?
