Downloaded videos poor quality

I am running Windows 10 and have Firefox as my main Browser. Recently, when downloading videos from certain websites, when playing, the video is extremely poor and pixilated. This does not involve the Real player - they play the same no matter what player I use. As stated, this is a recent problem. Either there is a problem with the downloader, or certain websites have found a way to degrade the downloaded videos. I have tried the Microsoft Edge browser with the same results.

  We don't control what websites host (videos) on their end. We could try to test it in-house if you can provide us with a sample of such website/ video that you are able to download with low quality.

  Update: apparently this is only occurring on one website: www.xvideos. They have found a way to degrade their videos during the download process from the RealPlayer. Even videos from them that appear on other websites behave like this.
