Cannot play DVDs from the hard drive

I insert dvd in hard drive, click on play cd/dvd - I get audio but no visual and then it just quits...

  It is possible your computer has 2 display adapters. If you do, you will have to disable one of the other and play the DVD. Would you know if that is the case?
