Not able to download from Youtube

Has Youtube thrown a switch and turned this ability off?

Today I had to log in for my WDTV device to be able to watch from youtube.

It seems to me its a war they are fighting against us. There has to be a means of overcoming ... after all .. you can still stream videos from YouTube.

  We are aware of some changes made on websites like YouTube which has caused RealDownloader to not download videos.
