Realplayer crashes

I have tried several times to "repair song info."  The scan starts, it gets about halfway through the songs in my library, then the "Realplayer has to close" message comes up.  I've done it at least five times with the same results.

  This may happen if you have too many songs in your library. Can you try with a fewer songs to see if it crashes too?

  Thanks for replying.  Any idea how I get it to scan fewer songs?

  It crashes with as few as 5 songs selected.  At this rate it's unusable.
