convert MP4 video to DVD

Cannot convert MP4 video to DVD, I have a PAID FOR real player, when downloading the video downloads as mp4, WHY CAN'T I CONVERT IT??????????

  You can't convert MP4 videos to DVD format. You will need to burn them to a DVD. If you are burning them to a DVD disk and not able to please let us know what error message you are seeing.
