Realplayer can't locate CD burner

I can play music in real player, even music I've previously burned in real player. Recently I've tried to burn some music tracks and real player is saying it can't find the CD burner!

  Do you have more than one CD drive in your PC? If you have 2, you will need to set the preference in RealPlayer to look at the CD burner and not the CD drive with no CD burn features. Please confirm.

  NO! Have real player plus premium and used to be able to record, now it says 

  real player can't find cd burner. I have re downloaded real player to no avail

  signed in, activated plus, nothing works. I even started real player as adminisrator still no CD play response I CAN PLAY MUSIC CD's FINE, but when I  go to burn it -real player can't find the CD burner!

  It is quite possible the burn lens on your CD burner is faulty. To confirm this, can you use Windows Media Player to burn some songs? If it works with Windows Media Player then it could be a RealPlayer installation issue. If it doesn't work with Windows Media Player, then the problem lies with your CD Burner.
