Realplayer Closes When I Insert CD

Realplayer 18.1.20.206 starts just fine. It will stay open all day as long as I don't insert a CD and try to play it. As soon as I do and as soon as Realplayer has read the CD contents, Realplayer just closes. No error is shown, it just closes. I have reinstalled Realplayer and the error is the same.

  Does it happen on any CD you insert or just the one CD?

  I've tried 3 different CDs, same results. It seems as if as soon as Realplayer readers the header information it closes down.

  Have you tried to play the same CD with a different program like Windows Media Player?

  Have you tried installing our latest version RealPlayer 20/20? You can install it from www.real.com

  This is a newly designed RealPlayer. Please install this version and let us know if it still crashes.

  I tried all three CDs on my other PC which has RealTimes installed and all played fine.  Funny you should ask about 20/20. Just for grins I did install it. When I double click on realplayer.exe nothing happens. I get a brief flash of a circle and then...nothing.

  Further comment, I have MediaMonkey also installed and the CDs played fine using that program.
