Flash Videos
I have more than 100 Flash videos downloaded by RealPlayer. Flash will no longer be supported after this year. Is it correct to say that as long as I have Flash on my machine RP will play them, and if I uninstall Flash, RP will not play them? Thank you.

We are not aware of any such issues with Flash videos.
The best solution for you is to convert these flv videos to MP4 format. You can use RealConverter to convert them all to MP4.

Real CS, I appreciate your response, but you haven't exactly addressed the issue. Let's try this again.
Everybody who's anybody, including Adobe, is advising people to delete/uninstall Flash (at least after EOL) because it's insecure and will no longer be maintained. I'm not a programmer/technical, so I don't understand this stuff and have to ask these questions.
If I uninstall Flash, it seems reasonable that Flash videos on my machine will no longer play; is this correct? If the videos will still play, then what's the point of having Flash on the machine to begin with?
If the videos will still play without Flash on the computer, then I don't see any point in converting, which would be a huge undertaking for well over 100 videos.
If you or anybody could address my issues/questions completely I would appreciate it.
Thank you.

Van,
We confirmed with out product engineering team and they have said that even if you are uninstalling Adobe Flash, RealPlayer will still be able to play those FLV files. Thus, you don't have to convert them to MP4 format.
The earlier suggestion to convert was to just help you have a uniform video format.
Please note: If you have any .SWF files, you may want to contact Adobe for a solution.

So apparently there's imbedded Flash capability in RealPlayer, and the videos will continue to play. I guess that settles the issue. Thank you.
