YOU Tube music downloads
Much of the music I have downloaded from You Tube (lately) has a skip at the beginning of the song. Usually within the first 5 or 10 seconds. There are no other skips in the music. Not ALL of the downloads have this issue but most of them do. This is a fairly recent issue as I have downloaded music in the past and have had no issues. I think this started around the time Real Player issued their fix for the broken downloads problem.

I have seen similar behavior when the download engine or format settings changed after an update. You might try clearing the download cache, checking if there is another RealPlayer update available, or switching the audio format quality to see if the issue persists. @geometry dash

Could you also provide us with a sample URL that you are unable to download and the web browser you are using?

I've tried those things. I have the latest update and I set the lowest stereo setting I could. I'm using Firefox for a web browser from Youtube. I just was trying to find one of the songs and having trouble locating it. Once I download them then I can't tell where they came from since I don't specify if it's a download from the web or a copy from a disc or vinyl. Sometimes difficult to do when you have over 20000 songs. It's only taken me some 50 years to accumulate that many and took me months to digitize them.

Can you please attach one of the songs that has this problem? We can test it in-house.

I've done some cleaning on my PC, browser and Real Player. I found the music in a different folder than I thought they were in. I started playing them and .... they are now CLEAN! I don't know what happened but now they play without the stutter. I'm not imagining this but it was there. Now it's gone. I've seen internet conversations where people do complain about this issue but mostly with Itunes/mac downloading and then the complaint is through the whole piece. This is the first time I've ever seen anything like this happening. Ran some of the music through Audacity and I don't see anything unusual there. Hopefully I won't see it again.
