Feb 25 2026 - RealPlayer Downloader FAILS! New YouTube download error!
It's currently Feb 25 2026. YouTube download was working this morning but around noon (12:00 Eastern Time), it fails consistently.

If you are using any VPN services, please disconnect it and try again. If you are still having this issue, try connecting your computer to your Phone's hotspot and try to download a YouTube video. If you are able to download after connecting to your hotspot, then YouTube is probably blocking you from downloading videos through your Internet Service Provider. In that case, you could call them and ask them to provide you with a new IP address.

It appears I have the same issue as you. I went to download using the Realplayer downloader and I get an error message that the video is not available. I tried downloading other videos with the same problem. Realplayer support are you working on this issue? Did security change because it was asking me for a password which I never had to enter before.

It's the same thing for me. A while ago, YouTube started asking for password to download. I did and downloading worked for while. Then just a couple of days ago, it stopped working. I have a suspicion that YouTube is going to find a way to make video downloaders pay.

it's been on again off again for three weeks. No response from Customer Support. This is a serious failure of communications.

Try contacting them at this email address: support@realnetworks.zendesk.com. They did get back to me but indicated that they can download the video with no issues. They think I might be blocked from YouTube which doesn't make sense why I would be blocked all of the sudden. Maybe YouTube changed something? If many of you are encountering these errors, it tells me that it is a massive problem.

I tried it just now March 1 at 1:03 p.m. EST and it is working fine.
