Downloader is working on YouTube and suddenly in the progress of Downloading - fail with Unable to Download Message

I have the licensed 24 Plus on windows 10, it is working nicely and suddenly, I got periodic encouraging message to upgrade. I ignored the message and it later (Monday August 17th 2026 mid afternoon, about 4 PM EDT) started "Unable to Download" Message while the download has initially started and progressing.

Cleaned all cache (Temp, %temp% on windows command; and cleared Chrome Browser History, and Cache; cleared the "recycle Bin"); waited an hour & rebooted the PC, all fail to get downloader to work again. waited 24 hours & rebooted the PC, all fail to get downloader to work again (Tuesday August 18th 2026 9 AM EDT).

There is No "Check for Update": no link or button on the RealPlayer 24 Plus system.

Is this "normal"???

  I'm getting the same message unable to download, I also paid for 24plus Its now asking me to upgrade again!! My downloads were working fine until this new message about upgrading again came up.

  Same thing with me.  I got the latest version and still give the message " unable to download."  I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it again.  Still the same message.

  We are happy to announce that the recent issue affecting YouTube downloads has been resolved. 
   
  If you are still experiencing problems, please make sure you have the latest version of RealPlayer Downloader installed. 
   
  For older versions of RealPlayer (v.22 & v.20/20), an update will be released soon.

  I have the Version 25 and has uninstalled and shut down for a night.

  Reinstalled V25.0.2.304 last evening, and then shut down the laptop for the night.

  Just now, sign-in to Real Player and test download a very short video.

  As before, the download tab on YouTube (run of Chrome)  activates as before nicely, yet it sit there and after a few seconds, return with "Unable to Download".

  Before This comment, I search the web, attempt to find the safe and proper download site for Real Player V.22 or V.20/20), not able to find one.

  For now, keep my fingers cross to wait for the RealPlayer update to resolve this "Unable to Download" issue.

  My Laptop run on windows 10, has latest Microsoft patches.
