I don't know if this will help but I had a similar problem. For over a year if I clicked on BURN I would get a popup saying realplayer can not detect a CD burner. Seems a MSN update fouled things...

realplayer has become useless
Cannot download a video from anywhere. All I get is "UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD". What is the problem? $10.00 a month is too much to pay for nothing.
