You seem to have a very old version of RealPlayer installed. Please install from www.real.com and sign in to ensure you have the latest version.

If the issue persists, please let us know.

I have installed RealPlayer version 20.0.2.316 from www.real.com.  The problem continues.

The library display continues not to change to reflect changes (additions or deletions) to the library without closing and re-opening the RealPlayer software.  If I am playing a video and press 'pause' there is a delay before the video pauses.  If I edit (change) the name of a title in the library, there is a ten second delay before the software responds to the cursor to do anything else.

As I wrote in my original comment, in my experience using the RealPlayer software these are symptoms that have occurred when the Windows Task Manager display showed that the RealTimes Desktop Service was not running.  When I wrote the original comment, the Task Manager display was showing the status of the RealTimes Desktop Service alternating between ‘Running’ and ‘Stopped.’  After updating to version 20.0.2.316 the status of the RealTimes Desktop Service is now always shown as ‘Stopped.’  Now, if I Right click on the service and select ‘Start Service’ the task Manager responds with a message that says “The operation could not be completed.  The system could not find the file specified.”

Goes the RealPlayer software still need to use the RealTimes Desktop Service to run properly?  What needs to be done to fix the problem?

We are not sure why this is happening on your end. We have not seen any such reports. Perhaps something didn't uninstall properly when you reinstalled. Can you please follow the steps from this link?

Please note: You will have to recreate your playlists if you follow these steps.
