Have to reinstall RealPlayer to get RealDownloader to work
And frankly I am tired of it! I am on a Win10PC (10.0.19044) with up-to-date patches and am a Premium Real customer.
I wanted to DL a piano concert off of Youtube this morning and when I hovered over the video and the downloader popped up in my Edge browser, I pulled it down and clicked. Rather than DLing the video, the DL tool collapsed again. Didn't matter how many times I tried, no DL or even the dialog to select the resolution desired. Even the "DL a video..." icon at the top of the downloader didn't work. Click it and nothing happens. I tried killing the RealPlayer and RealDownloader instances and restarting them. Still nothing. Eventually, I reinstalled my up-to-date RealPlayer (22.0.1.307) and after that it worked.

Later I had to restart my computer due to a power outage and when I tried to DL another video, NOTHING! Same problem as before.
The RealDownloader has seemed very buggy for at least the past couple of major versions and this needs to be fixed! I refuse to reinstall software every time I need to run it and am going to seek an alternative (even if I have to pay for it) if this is not resolved SOON!

Please follow the steps from this link as a work around.
You don't have to reinstall RealPlayer, you can instead restart RealDownloader by right clicking the RealPlayer logo from your system tray.
