Playing .flv files downloaded in Real Player

 I have successfully (apparently) downloaded several files in RealPlayer in the past few weeks However when I try to play the .flv files they seem to load and the details of the video show beneath the screen and then nothing.  I try to use Real Player as it is advertised as allowing most formats to be played.  The exception seems to be files downloaded using RealPlayer itself.  Is there a solution available.  Interestingly I can play similar files (.flv) that have been downloaded earlier in the year.

Any help would be welcomed.
