videos saved in Real Times

Videos were saved in Realplayer (Real Times, not cloud), most changed themselves to Windows Media Player files after i used WMP.  i've done this before for years and never had this  happen.  How do I convert back?  Also,  can't keep  my videos saved in a "list"?  thank you, been a customer for many many happy years til trouble with youtube in 2013.  sad since...have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling to use.  want to burn list of videos but now they show as WMP files????
