Make RealPlayer my default media player
How do I make RealPlayer (RealTimes) my universal media player?
When you install RealPlayer on your PC, you are prompted to decide which types of files you want to open with it. RealPlayer becomes the default media player for the file types you choose to associate with it. If you install another media program after installing RealPlayer, some of these file types may be associated with the new program.
To make RealPlayer your universal media player after installation:
1. Open the desktop player, then click the logo in the upper left and choose Preferences. The Preferences box opens.
2. Under the Content category, click Media Types.
3. In the Media Types dialog box, choose Make RealPlayer my Universal Media Player, then click OK.
To re-assign file types to RealPlayer:
1. Open the desktop player, then click the logo in the upper left, and choose Preferences.
2. Under the Content category, click Media Types.
3. In the Media Types dialog box, choose Manually configure media types then click the Select button. From the list that appears, you can choose the types of files you want to play using RealPlayer.
4. Click OK.
5. Restart the player.
