We are aware of an issue and our engineering team is looking into it. We will email you as soon as it is resolved. In the meanwhile could you please provide us with the following information:

    1. URL of the video you are unable to download.

    2. Which web browser are you using to download videos?

We are able to download all videos in our lab so having this information will help us to identify the issue.

Same thing here - it was working and now it isn't. You can't download any videos from youtube - try this one:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuLVK0ZbfW0&t=

"No videos to download on this page"

It happens with both videos that you can't save to a playlist (which is annoying enough as it is) and videos that you can. I've tried both Chrome and IE (or whatever Microsoft calls it now), as well as the Realplayer app directly. It will play in the app, but fails to download.

Can you also provide us with the following information:

    1. Open a Windows Folder.
    2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Real\RealPlayer.
    3. Look for a file named videodl.exe.
    4. Right click on this file and click Properties --> Details tab
    5. Please let me know what the file version reads as?

2019.7.30.0 (on my system at work - I'll have to check my personal laptop when I get home).

So is this an "I need to upgrade" thing? I just tried to upgrade and got this:  "The software update 'Update to RealPlayer with RealTimes' could not be verified as authentic. Please check your computer's clock ... ".

    Error code: RUP_BAD

What the heck?? There's nothing wrong with my clock...

You asked the version.  Mine says Original filename: youtube-dl.exe

    Is that helpful?

    Thanks.

    Wendy,

It appears that you are on a very old version on this computer. Since you are seeing an error (Bad_Rup) when you update RealPlayer, we would like to take a look at it. We sent you an email. We'll take it from there.

Wait, I did give an answer above.  Please refer to that.  I also posted another comment that is not showing giving a bunch of links to videos that didn't download.  Not sure what happened to it.

    JT,

The version number should be 2019.11.5.0. Your information is missing that, hence we are requesting this information.

Back when the modification occurred, I had trouble with logging on.  RT told me to reinstall it which I did. I can't recall if that happened in August but I think it was more likely in November which reflects the modification date.

I hear what you're saying but let me ask this.  Do we have to reinstall this crazy program every time it updates?  This is becoming annoying with constantly reinstalling this program.  I'm tempted to move on to a different program.  How many times are we supposed to be reinstalling (with a clean uninstall)?  It's goofy!@

We apologize for the inconvenience. Every time websites make changes to their technologies, they don't necessarily inform us and they are not expected to do so. So when the video formats hosted on their websites change, we will have to redesign our Downloader and make it compatible.

This is the reason we send out updates frequently. In some cases, the updates fail and most cases it successfully installs. This is PC dependent.
