When I try to convert an mp3 file to mp4 it becomes an mp4a and cannot be used in a burn to video, is there a way to do this to just mp4 ?

  MP3 is an audio format while MP4 is a video format. You can't convert a MP3 (audio) file to an MP4 (video) format. You can convert a MP4 to a MP3 format but not the other way around.
