Many features in RealPlayer are not working

If you have enabled Controlled Folder Access in Windows Security, please note that RealPlayer will not work properly. Many features in RealPlayer may be blocked due to this setting.

While you can continue to have Controlled Folder Access enabled for other programs, you will need turn off for RealPlayer related folders. To do this, here are the steps:

1. Open Windows Security.
2. Click Virus & Threat protection.
3. Scroll down to Virus & Threat protect settings and click Manage settings.
4. Scroll down to Controlled folder access and click Manage Controlled folder access.
5. Click Protected Folders.
6. If Real folder (c:\Program Files (x86)\Real is protected, it will need to be removed.
7. Restart PC.
