Seeing white or green screen when playing a video
Why do I get a white or green screen when I try to play a video in RealPlayer?
If you are seeing a white or green screen when trying to play a video, one of the following solutions may help.
Solution 1: Update your RealPlayer color settings.
1. Open RealPlayer.
2. Click the RealPlayer logo in the top left corner.
3. Go to Preferences.
4. Click on DVD.
5. Under Advanced, choose RGB.
6. Click OK.
7. Restart RealPlayer.
Solution 2: Update your video card drivers.
Check with your computer manufacturer to see if they have updated video card drivers for your computer.
Solution 3: Adjust your video card in RealPlayer.
1. Open RealPlayer.
2. Click the RealPlayer logo, then Preferences. The Preferences box opens.
3. In the Category pane, click Hardware.
4. In the Video Card Compatibility section, drag the slider all the way to the left to Most reliable, which disables optimized video and overlays.
5. Click OK.
6. Close RealPlayer, restart your computer, and reopen RealPlayer for the settings to take effect.
